Methods to clean diesel tank of the excavator 

Steam method

Drain the diesel oil, remove the fuel tank, then fill the diesel tank with more than half of the water, and guide the steam into the water from the fuel port with a pipe, so that the water in the diesel tank boils for about 1 hour.

 

The colloid and residual diesel molecules adhering to the inner wall of the box can be dissolved in water. Lightweight dirt floats to the surface and is washed away.

 

In this way, twice in a row, the diesel tank can be rinsed clean.

 

Purge method

That is, keep some diesel oil in the fuel tank, and then pass the compressed air of 19.6~29.4KPa into the bottom of the fuel tank with a plastic pipe, so that the diesel oil is churned and cleaned, and the position and direction of the lower end of the gas pipe are constantly changed to clean the entire fuel tank. Immediately after purging, the diesel oil in the fuel tank is released, and the impurities suspended in the oil flow out with the diesel oil. If the outgoing diesel oil is dirty, use the above method to clean it again until the outgoing oil is free of impurities.

 

Solvent method

Wash the diesel tank of the excavator with hot water, then dry it with compressed air to remove the diesel vapor inside, and finally, put the diesel tank into an aqueous solution containing 10% sodium hydroxide for dipping.

 

Rinse the inside and outside of the diesel tank with clean water after immersion. If external rust is found, use a wire brush to clean it.

 

 

3 Tips to save oil

1 Avoid doing invalid actions

For novice excavators, there may be some small actions, but the diesel consumed by these actions is meaningless. Park the excavator in a suitable position before operation to avoid ineffective actions.

 

2 Avoid idling of excavators

When the excavator is idling, although it does not consume a lot of diesel, the hydraulic system will also waste diesel when the engine is idling.

 

3 Avoid overloading

When the excavator is overloaded, the hydraulic system is first affected, and the overloaded engine can only provide more power to complete the work, and the consumption of diesel is not proportional to the power it brings.
